An optical illusion, also known as a visual illusion, is a phenomenon where our brains misinterpret the information that our eyes receive, leading to a perceived reality that differs from the actual physical reality. This can occur due to a combination of factors, including the way our eyes process light, the structure of the human visual system, and the influence of prior experiences and expectations. Optical illusions can take many forms, such as shape, size, colour, and movement, and can be found in various aspects of our daily lives, including art, architecture, and even nature.
Wushu is a modern Chinese martial art that emphasises athleticism, flexibility, and strength. It was created in the 1950s as a competitive sport, separated from traditional Chinese martial arts. Wushu focuses on performing intricate movements, tumbling passes, and acrobatic stunts, making it a unique and dynamic discipline. It is divided into two main categories: taolu, which involves solo routines, and sanda, a full-contact combat sport. Wushu aims to promote physical fitness, balance, and coordination, while also showcasing the beauty and elegance of traditional Chinese martial arts.
Its popularisation has contributed to a global presence, with competitions and clubs worldwide.

The lightsaber is a fictional energy sword created by George Lucas for the Star Wars franchise. It is a distinctive weapon wielded by the Jedi Order and some Sith Lords, typically used for combat. Lightsabers are powered by a hilt containing a kyber (The Kyber) crystal is a precious and rare material in the Star Wars universe. It's a highly attuned crystal that can be used to power and focus the energy of blasters, lightsabers, and other Force-sensitive devices. Kyber crystals are found in different colours, each corresponding to a specific alignment with the Force. The crystals are also strong conduits for the bond between a Jedi or Sith and their lightsaber, amplifying the user's connection to the Force. Kyber crystals play a crucial role in Star Wars lore, especially for Jedi and Sith tradition crystal, which focuses the user's energy and allows the blade to be manipulated and extended. Known for their impressive noise and flash, lightsabers have become an iconic symbol of the Star Wars universe, appearing in various forms of media, including films, television shows, and video games.
According to Gillard, various lightsaber combat styles were devised for the prequels and intended to further characterise their practitioners. developed different styles for the characters, and gave each of them a flaw or a bonus. So with Obi-Wan Kenobi, for instance, he's got a very business-like style—when he was younger he could border on the flashy and might twirl his lightsaber a bit, because he was taught by Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon was brash, that rubbed off on Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan then taught Anakin, who was way too old to learn anyway... I think the style really worked well. The Jedi style of fighting is an amalgamation of all the great sword fighting styles. Melding them together is the difficult part—to move from a Kendo style to, say, rapier requires a complete change in body and feet movement, and this must look effortless. The style moves seamlessly between the different disciplines, but remains technically correct throughout.
Since the release of the first film, replicas of lightsabers have been a popular piece of Star Wars merchandise, ranging from inexpensive plastic toys to the "Force FX" series from Master Replicas, deluxe replicas which use LED-lighted tubes and sound effects to create a close audio-visual representation of what is seen on screen.
Over the years, advancements in technology have allowed for the creation of increasingly immersive and realistic lightsaber replicas.
One notable development in this regard is the introduction of neopixel lightsabers, which have revolutionised the lightsaber replica market by utilising a strip of individually addressable RGB LEDs encased within a durable polycarbonate blade. This design allows for a higher level of control over the lightsaber's appearance and behaviour.
